JEINE ROQUE was born in Cuba where I realized that with very little, much can be achieved. I received my degree from the Academy of Fine Arts, San Alejandro with a concentration in painting, and for 2-year work on stage design for television and theater. I then lived in Ecuador for 4 years where I was a professor at the University of Arts in Quito. Living in Ecuador taught me to understand that art is a means of communicating both internal and external struggles.

My work is of daily life; social commentary and sometimes touching on political issues. My goal is to create a story with irony while seducing with aesthetics; to simplify it and say more with less.
